Ireland is among the 21 countries in the LOBSTERPOT in this exciting development to improve treatment and outcomes for patients diagnosed with ILC, and importantly acknowledgement that ILC needs specific treatment.
European Lobular Breast Cancer Consortium (ELBCC) with researchers based in UMC Utrecht, KU Leuven, and with 21 countries participating in this four year project, with the collective of the experts in lobular breast cancer, the variety of geneticists, biologists, clinicians, data scientists, and academic trials experts, as well as ILC patient associations, provides a broad spectrum of knowledge and hope to better understand and treat ILC.
